Inventory of Buildings in Medicine Hat

Hilary Tarant from Calgary has been systematically researching, photographing and inventorying the buildings of Medicine Hat, built prior to 1960. These inventories in binders may be consulted at City Hall or at the Archives in the Esplanade.

Living History

In 2011 a project was created by the Society – namely the Living History Project.  The objective was, and still is, to document the memories of residents of Medicine Hat and area.  To date, some 34 individual’s stories have been videographed (not videotaped!).  The resulting DVD’S are provided to the interviewee and/or family as well as to the Esplanade Archives.

The first two people interviewed were Dr. David Carter and Ethel Currie.
